A few steps away from the Sforza Castle you will meet one of the most famous squares of the city: Piazzale Cadorna, seat of a regional train station with airport connections.
In this square is visible the giant needle, an 18 mt statue, made by Oldenberg as a homage to the city industriousness. This colourful statue gives a modern and characteristic touch to the square.
Piazzale Cadorna is a central point, where frequent airport connections pass by, and two underground lines meet, causing a general frenzy. From Piazza Cadorna a long street departs, Carducci street, crossing the most important semi central streets of the city: Corso Magenta, San Vittore street (seat of the Science and technique Museum), and the church of Sant’Ambrogio, patron saint of the city.
