History of Venice

Venice is situated in the northeast of Italy. History of the Venice is very old. It is considered that Venice was founded in 421AD. However there is no any fix record of the city was found. This northeast Italian city is situated at the edge of the Adriatic Sea. This city has a big network of canals. People use gondolas and other boats to move about the city. During the winters, high tides sweep into the low lying parts of the city and flood them with a foot. Most affected areas have raised sidewalks so that you can walk by without getting your feet wet.
