Travelling around Venice

On foot

The best way to visit Venice is on foot, crossino road, bridges and canals.
It quite simple lost the way in Venice, so it’s important have a good map. In any case on the main roads palace wall there are notices which shows the main monuments directions.


Public transports
All the public transport in Venice are boat. The most famous and romantic is gondola,  but there are faster way to mouve up and down the canals: the vaporetti and the traghetti.

Gondole
Venetians use some kind of gondolas to cross the Canal Grande in the points in which there are no bridges. In this case the passengers are standing. 
But if you are looking for a romantic trip in gondola, then it is possible to rent a gondola to visit Venice from a privileged point of view. Those are the gondolas that fascinate the imaginary collective, comfortable, elegant sinuous. A trip in gondola can be a bit expensive, in any case it’s possible know anyting about gondolas from the Istituzione per la conservazione della gondola e la tutela del gondoliere (Institution for the maintenance of the gondola and the guardianship of the gondolier).
