Underground and bus
There are two underground lines in Rome: line A and line B. In addition to this, there is also the suburban railway line of Rome and the regional railway lines which connect the city with Viterbo, Pantano and Lido.
Thanks to this capillary network, it is possible to reach every part of the city by railway, in a comfortable and practical way.

Bike
Traffic in Rome is extremely intense, therefore the use of a bike may result dangerous outside the pedestrian areas. If you don’t know the city well, we can provide you with a map of the cyclable paths available in the network of the urban cyclable paths.
Taxi
Given the high cost of the service, the use of a taxi in Rome is recommendable only for short transfers, especially to and from the train stations and airports.
In any case be careful of unauthorised taxis, a practice still rooted in the city, which looks far from a solution. The general recommendation is to make use of taxis parked in the signalled areas, and always ask for the fare before getting on.
Car
The historic centre of Rome is closed to private traffic, therefore it is recommendable to make use of the exchange parkings located in numerous parts of the city, of which we provide here a list.
