Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar
The formerMosteiro da Serra do Pilaris a convent of the XVII century, where members of the Augustinian order lived. Dominated by the dome, the convent includes a circular cloister with 36 ionic columns. The convent is situated in Vila Nova de Gaia opposite the bridge Dom Luis I. From the space in front of the convent opens a spectacular view over the Old Town and the river.
