By Car

Wherever you are from, if you decide to reach Porto, by car be prepared to a long trip. Portugal can be entered via Spain, from San Sebastian. From here follow the direction to Vitoria-Gasteiz, Burgos and Cembranos.
In Cembranos take the A 66 in direction Santa Cristina de la Polvorosa, and then the A 52 in direction west to Vilar de Rei-Vigo. After La Gudiña leave the A 52 in direction south, entering Portugal. From here street signs are not very clear.
We suggest you to reach Porto via Barcelonaor Madrid, and then entering the Portuguese border with the A6 and A52.

By train

The interchange stations are Marseille in France or Barcelona and Madrid in Spain. The journey takes approximately 2 days, and the price is barely the same as for a flight ticket, so we recommend the train only to those who are particularly fond of trains, and have plenty of time available.

By Bus

The company Euroline operates connections to Porto from the major European capitals. The journey is a bit longer than by train, but much cheaper. (http://www.eurolines.com).
