The Cards :
Andante Tour, Azul e Gold
The Andante Tour, Andante Azul and Andante Gold cards are travel cards that can be used on any of the public transports of the urban and metropolitan network: buses trams Stcp, underground, Funicolar urban trains and some private buses.
- Andante Tour card
Andante Tour is the most practical card, easy to use and definitely cheaper than the others. It is ideal to use public transports to move around during your visit of monuments and places of interest.
There are two versions available:
- Andante Tour 1: € 5,00 it is valid 24 consecutive hours from first validation
- Andante Tour 3: € 11,00 it is valid 72 consecutive hours from first validation
Both entitle to unlimited journeys on any of the public transports.
Where to purchase the card:
- in the shops Andante;
- in the ticket offices of Stcp (the official transport company in Porto);
- in the ticket offices of the urban company CP (Comboios de Portugal);
- at the Loja da Mobilidade of Porto municipality.
- Cartão Andante Azul and Cartão Andante Gold
The Cartão Andante Azul is particularly suitable for short visits, during which you don’t plan to use the entire network of urban and metropolitan transports. The card costs €0,50 and can be recharged with single tickets, multiple ticket carnets or daily cards (Andante 24). It is valid within the chosen area.
The urban transport network is divided into zones. Zones are flexible, which means, they depend on your departure station, and include all the neighboring zones. The ticket price varies according to the zone or zones that you choose to cover.
Single travel tickets have a different duration, which varies from 1 h to 3h ½ , according to the zones. With the Andante 24 card there are no time limits, and the card is valid within 24 h from the first validation.

It is not possible to charge tickets, carnets or daily tickets for more than one person or zone. What you can do is charge at the same time different travel tickets of the same kind (for instance more tickets Z2, or more Andante 24 exc…)
The Cartão Andante Goldcard is another typology of travel card which is particularly suitable for those who plan to stay in Porto for longer periods. The card has a price of € 5.00 and can be charged with single tickets, carnets, Andante 24 and also with monthly cards, in the two options of full day validity or scheduled validity (generally from 10 am to 16 on working days, full day on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).
Where to buy and rechange the Andante Azul and Andante Gold cards:
-in the shops Andante;
- in the Andante ticket offices which are located at the airport Info Point, at the automated machines in the underground stations, at the Loja da Mobilidade of Porto municipality and at any cash machines.
- at the following private bus companies: EspÃrito Santo, Rua Tenente Valadim, 948 – Vila Nova de Gaia; Gondomarense, Central Shopping, Campo 24 de Agosto; Valpi, Praça General Humberto Delgado, 339 – Porto;
- at the Stcp stations in : Campo 24 de Agosto, Hospital São João, Bom Sucesso, Loja do Cidadão;
- at the railway station ticket offices in: CP di Ermesinde, General Torres, Campanhã and Espinho;
- railway station São Bento.
All cards must be validated every time you get on board, and at any change of vehicle.
On trains and underground trains the machines for ticket validation are situated in the stations, whereas on buses they are placed at the entrance of the vehicle. To validate the ticket, you must take the card near the black circle mark. A green light or an acoustic sound will confirm the operation, indicating the balance on your card. A red light followed by a message on the display indicates that a problem has occurred, and you must repeat the operation.
