The ancient Tiryns, 3 km north of Nauplia, boasts royal palace walls and cyclopean even more powerful than those of Mycenae: 7-10 meters thick to a height of 7.5 meters. No wonder everything is still intact. The legend tells that the walls were made by Cyclops, from which the architectural term "cyclopean walls" is derived.
In reality it is because of the Mycenaean (1600-1100 BC) that these walls are so strong.
