St Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick's Day is one of the most celebrated festivities in the world. Symbol of belonging and grounds for pride of every Irish person (even second or third generation) St. Patrick's Day celebrations tinge green some of the most important cities in the world, first among them Dublin.
In remembering the patron saint, who converted Ireland to Catholicism and gave it a national identity, the streets of the city fill with celebrations and music, masked parades, theatrical shows, all of which are doused in excellent beer.
Along with the celebrations in the streets and the pubs there's traditional Irish music festivals, organised with variable dates in the week following on from the 17th of March. Those who wish to participate in the celebrations must book their accommodation early in advance due to the many people who flock to the city.

Jameson Dublin Film Festival
Although not one of the most famous film festivals, Dublin's is one of the most popular.
