Built in the Synod Hall of Christ Church Cathedral, to which it's connected by a walk-though archway, Dublinia is an interactive gallery on the history of Dublin during the period which runs from 1170 to 1540.
The visitor, accompanied by an audio-guide, crosses the medieval city which has been rebuilt inside the hall, and can interact with a possible reality in the capital's history, to then move on and explore the Viking world.

The historical reconstruction of the foods, habits, and daily life are fairly faithful. The design of the exhibition favours and stimulates interaction with the rebuilt scenario. Dublinia so becomes a fun and charming historical game for children and adults.
On exiting the gallery we pass through the connecting archway of the diocese house and reach the entrance to Christ Church Cathedral, which can be entered for a fee.
