How to get to Bergamo
Bergamo is included in the main European airline directories, therefore it is easily reachable by railway, road or plane. The airport Orio al Serio is mainly served by one of the most famous low cost companies, Ryan Air, so there are numerous flight connections to the main European city capitals.
By plane
The airport Orio al Serio lies just 2 kilometres away from the city, and it is served by both national and international airlines. From the airport you can make use of a shuttle service, leading directly to Bergamo train station (Monday to Saturday from 5.30 am to 22.30 pm, with departures every 30 minutes. Fare: € 2). The airport Milano Malpensa is 90 Km far, while the airport Milano Linate lies 40 km far.
By car
Take the highway A4 Milan-Venice and exit in Bergamo. We recommend to leave the car in Lower Bergamo and reach the Upper City by public transport, since the city centre is almost exclusively pedestrian.
rada A4 Milano-Venezia uscita Bergamo.
Si consiglia di parcheggiare in Città Bassa e di raggiungere Città Alta con il mezzo pubblico, essendo per gran parte zona pedonale.
By train
From Milan a train leaves to Bergamo every hour, and then from Bergamo train station a bus service leaves every 10 minutes (Line 1), leading to Upper Bergamo.
