Hotel Fontana Family-run Hotel Fontana is a restored 18th-century Venetian house which enjoys a central location in Venice, just behind San Zaccaria square and a few blocks from Saint Mark’s square. In a quiet area just off the waterfront, this hotel is perfect for getting to know this unique city. Waterbuses stop just outside the hotel and much of the city is just walking distance away, including Rialto and its busy markets, which are a 10 minute stroll away. Saint Mark’s square, with its spectacular cathedral is even closer, just 5 minutes away, as is the Bridge of Sighs. Comfortable rooms overlook the characteristic squares below and some have a private terrace with views of gothic San Zaccaria church, which is just next door.
