Entry requirementsPassport is required for European citizens of the Member States. Visa for tourist purposes and for a stay up to 90 days is not necessary. Most of European driving licenses are accepted. The Green Card is necessary.
Travelling with petsSmall sized pets like cats, dogs and ferrets must travel with animal passport (in force since 2004) and have an identification microchip or tattoo. Also, they must be vaccinated against rabies.
Health and safetyBoth private and public health structures are generally below the minimum European standards, and some medicaments may not be easily available. No vaccination is required. General safety is still unsteady. Avoid places like Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, and be careful when travelling in southern Serbia and on the borders.
ClimateSerbia is characterised by a Mediterranean climate, affected by the presence of the Dinaric Alps in the south and west part of the Country. Summers are hot and dry, while winters are cold and snowy. The northern part is characterised by a continental climate.

EconomySerbian economy is in full development, thanks to numerous foreign investments. The primary sector employs 3% of the workforce. The main cultivations are cereals (corn, wheat), potatoes and beetroots. Wine production is widely practiced. The tertiary sector represents one third of the per capita income. The main industrial sectors are food processing, mechanical and manufacture. 70% of the workforce is employed in the tertiary sector, led by tourism.
ElectricityVoltage: 220 V, frequency 50 Hz. Both European two-poles plugs and German plugs are used. It is advisable to bring a plug adapter.
