ClimateSlovenia is characterised by various climates. On the coast the climate is sub-Mediterranean, whereas the inland territory is subject to a more continental climate, which varies according to height. Climate on the mountains is typically alpine.

EconomyOver the course of the last years, Slovenian economy has notably increased. The leading sector of this change was industry (which employs 40% of the workforce). The key industries are metal, wood processing, sport clothing, electronics. Agriculture activities mainly consist in the cultivation of wheat, corn, fruit and vineyards. The tertiary sector led by tourism is currently developing.
