INTRODUCTION: situated just a bit North of Germany, the kingdom of Denmark is the smallest and the southernmost state of Scandinavia. Health and safety: both private and public health structures are excellent. No vaccination is required. It is advisable to bring the magnetic card for health assistance.
General safety in the country is good, although recently the Danish authorities have been facing violence episodes connected to rivalry between criminal bands in the biggest urban centres.
Climate: Denmark enjoys a temperate Atlantic climate. Summer months are hot, autumns are often windy and rainy, whereas winters are moderately cold.

Economy: Danish economy is a modern and dynamic market economy. The country is highly industrialized. The key sectors are IT, biotechnologies, telecommunications, pharmaceutical industry and food industry. Agriculture and animal breeding are well developed and can count on modern technologies. The tertiary sector represents 70% of the country gross income.
